Frank Henry Knapp, 94, of Warren, Pa., Died suddenly on December 15, 2021 at Warren General Hospital.
Frank was born September 18, 1927 in Warren, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Ernest S. and Ruth E. Knapp. After graduating from high school, Frank joined the US Navy and was stationed aboard the USS Wisconsin. He was also a milkman and worked for Meadowbrook and Warren County Dairy for 30 years, then for Stroehmann Bakery. He then worked as a long haul truck driver at Petrex.
Frank and his late wife loved square dancing and belonged to the Circle 8 and the Apple Siders.
Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, and he will be missed by all who knew him. He was a member of the Lander United Methodist Church.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Linda (John) Dunmire of Clarendon, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: Tammy, John III, Richard and Danielle; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Frank is predeceased by his wife, Frances Darling Knapp in 2005, whom he married on February 25, 1947; one son, Danny Frank Knapp in 1984; one daughter, Penny Lee Knapp in 1985; ten siblings: Lina, Byron, Onolee, Rosamond, Daisy, Jennie Belle, Roscoe, Ruby, Ernest and Priscilla.
Friends will be received Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 10 a.m. to noon at Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave. E. Warren, Pennsylvania. A funeral service will be held at noon with the Rev. Thom Daubenspeck, pastor, Clymer United Methodist Church, officiant.
Interment will follow at Foster cemetery.
