Courtesy Photo Posen High School and Joliet Catholic Academy (Illinois) posted the highest grade point averages among the unweighted and weighted high school categories, respectively, as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association revealed its Easton Top 10 GPAs for high school programs for the 2021 -22 school year. Under coach Wayne Karsten, the Vikings recorded a 3.996 GPA with nine players earning All-America Scholar-Athlete recognition. NFCA All-America Scholar scholar athletes included Makayla Kamyszek, Elizabeth Romel, Sophie Romel, Abi Schellie, Faith Cousins, Madison Kamyszek, Halie Konieczny, Ava Wesner, and Ella Szatkowski. Rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams among Association high school members. 1,064 student-athletes, who achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher, were awarded weighted and another 729 unweighted. Team GPAs and varsity athletes are submitted by member head coaches.
