Rory Miller II Receives Prestigious National Scholarship – The Troy Messenger

Rory “Deuce” Miller II attends Greenville High School in Greenville, South Carolina and will graduate on June 2, 2022. He is the grandson of Reverend Earvie and Ouida Gandy of Troy and the son of Monique and Rory Miller .

Rory Miller II was chosen as the Richardson Family Scholar at Wofford College from among 400 Wofford Scholars nationwide. Eligibility for the honor required ranking in the Top 10% class, 28 on ACT/1300 SAT scores, and leadership activities.

Several rounds of interviews took place and only one student was selected, making the Richardson Family Scholar at Wofford College one of the most prestigious national scholarships.

The selection criterion includes a student who demonstrates moral strength of character, has strong family commitment, demonstrates leadership qualities, demonstrates academic achievement, and is led by a sense of courage/duty to others .

The scholarship includes full tuition, tuition, room and board, a monthly stipend for books and miscellaneous items, a laptop computer, summer internships with international and international travel experience. January.

Rory Miller “Deuce” will be majoring in Physical Chemistry with a minor in Mandarin Chinese.
