Sarr braces for Watford as Norwich loses 5th consecutive game
NORWICH from England
Ismaila Sarr scored twice as Norwich’s debut Premier League loss stretched to five games after a 3-1 loss to Watford at Carrow Road on Saturday.
The Hornets’ record signing proved too good for the Norwich defense with their brace putting the game past the hosts.
The visitors had taken the lead early on as Emmanuel Dennis passed Tim Krul after being badly scored in the 17th minute.
Teemu Pukki scored his second league goal of the season and Norwich’s to tie the game when he broke the offside trap before sending the ball over to Ben Foster 10 minutes before half-time.
Watford took a decisive lead in the 63rd with Sarr beating Grant Hanley on the ball before throwing it into the net.
Sarr was then the first on a parry shot from Josh King to hit home for his second with 10 minutes remaining. The goal was originally ruled out for offside before a VAR exam determined King was in play when he received the ball from Tom Cleverley.
Norwich had the most difficult start – against Liverpool, Manchester City, Leicester and Arsenal – but struggled against another promoted side.
US striker Josh Sargent made his first Premier League start for Norwich.
