MILL HALL — At its August board meeting, the Clinton County Conservation District announced Taylor Weaver as the 2022 recipient of the Rich Ramm Memorial Scholarship.
Taylor, of Loganton, Pennsylvania, is a 2022 graduate of Central Mountain High School. He will receive a $2,500 scholarship to pursue studies in animal science at Delaware Valley University.
The scholarship is open to graduating seniors or current full-time students of any Clinton County high school, including the Jersey Shore area school district. The student must be enrolled or have been accepted into an accredited program in the field of agriculture. Primary consideration is given to students who have continued to successfully challenge themselves throughout their college years, as indicated by course selection, grades, leadership, and work experience. Activities, prizes and recognitions were also taken into consideration.
This scholarship fund was established in memory of a local farmer, Rich Ramm, who died in 1992. Rich was an agronomy graduate and a strong supporter of conservation. Her friends donated money for this perpetual scholarship fund, administered by the Clinton County Conservation District and the Clinton County Community Foundation.
