William Woods announces new scholarship program for fall 2022
This year, William Woods University created a new scholarship program for high school students.
The Hometown Promise Scholarship will be for students residing in seven of the selected counties in central Missouri who will be looking to apply for the fall semester 2022.
The scholarship will provide up to $ 20,000 per year to students with a GPA of at least 3.0 in high school and who reside or have attended high school in the following counties: Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Gasconade , Montgomery and Osage.
The new Hometown Promise Scholarship will strengthen William Woods’ commitment to local communities and add to their existing scholarships for Academic Achievement, Diversity and Inclusion, Athletics and Campus Involvement
“William Woods is committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive,” said Jennifer Crump, vice president of enrollment management. “We are now excited to add this new option to our already innovative scholarship offerings that support seniors in our local and surrounding communities. “
Although availability is limited, those who apply and are accepted to William Woods for fall 2022 will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
